The City of Estevan has announced that a portion of Perkins Street is going to remain closed throughout the weekend.
Perkins from Second Avenue to Kensington Avenue was closed starting on Thursday afternoon. The stretch of road was reopened on Thursday evening, but was closed again on Friday due to road patching.
In a news release issued Friday afternoon, the city revealed the Perkins Street restrictions will continue throughout the weekend.
Heavy truck traffic will be rerouted down Fourth Street.
The public is requested to follow the detour route. Local traffic only is allowed.
