The tornado watch that was in effect for the Carlyle area has been lifted.
Environment Canada issued the advisory on Tuesday afternoon, stating that conditions were favourable for the development of a thunderstorm that could spawn a tornado. A tornado warning was never issued.
But the watch was lifted just before 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.
A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect for the region.
