The Weyburn Comprehensive School principal Wade Oberg will present five local veterans with their Grade 12 Diplomas on October 1. May Wright, Howard Schmidt, Jim Achen, Casper Lix and John Paslawski will be presented with Honorary Grade 12 Diplomas, which they had never received in their youth because they had chosen to enlist and serve their country.
The presentation will take place during a concert performance of the Royal Canadian Air Force bands, Pipes and Drums and Command Brass. The WCS Concert Band, led by Tanya Cameron, will be joining the RCAF musicians on stage as well.
The performance is aptly entitled, 'A Salute to Our Veterans'.
During the event, the Triple C Centre board will also be receiving a significant donation towards completion of the building project.
