People chose their own challenge to make CF history this year. Due to COVID-19, Cystic Fibrosis Canada had to rethink their biggest fundraiser, so it went virtual. Some participants walked, hiked, or biked. In town teams made posters and shared them on social media to create awareness. Then they posted signs at 630 King Street and asked that people honk when they go by, showing their support.

The virtual regional walk kicked off in Saskatchewan with a live virtual opening ceremony at 11 a.m. over YouTube.

“I am very pleased with the support we've received this year, because it was hard to be motivated at first for everyone, because we look forward to the walk to be together with our family and friends,” McIntyre said. “Everyone should be proud of a job well done.”

Cole Dunville of Team McIntyre Family & Friends biked from Estevan to Bienfait, raising awareness and accepting his challenge to do so.

Gloria Threinen biked 11 kilometres for Team McIntyre Family & Friends.

And many other people found a way to be physically active and support the fight against CF.
