Weekly RCMP Report

The Carlyle detachment of the RCMP had a relatively slow week between Thursday, Dec. 8, and Thursday, Dec. 15. Cold weather typically comes with a drop in calls for the RCMP. 911 calls RCMP received three 911 calls during this time.
RCMP

            The Carlyle detachment of the RCMP had a relatively slow week between Thursday, Dec. 8, and Thursday, Dec. 15. Cold weather typically comes with a drop in calls for the RCMP.

911 calls

            RCMP received three 911 calls during this time. There was a misdial from an individual in Redvers. Someone was playing with the phone in Carlyle and accidentally called 911. A hang up call originated in Redvers, which was checked into.

Assault

            Two people were in a fight. No charges were laid in this matter.

            There was a report of an assault with a weapon.

            An altercation occurred when a bailiff seized a vehicle.

            There was an assault with a weapon reported and an individual was stabbed in the process. The parties are being uncooperative regarding the matter.

Failure to comply

            An individual is being charged with failure to comply with release conditions.

False alarms

            Four false alarms were attended to; calls occurred twice in Carlyle and twice in Wawota.

Traffic violations

            There were very few speeders during the week because of road conditions, people who did venture out did so with caution. The highest speeding ticket for the week was for $134.

            An individual was fined for driving without a licence.

            Several deer were struck during the week.

            Minor collisions were also reported during this time.

Theft

            An individual failed to pay for gas, but had simply forgotten and the situation was rectified.

            There was a report of theft in Redvers.

Uttering threats

            Three separate calls involving uttering threats were reported: one occurred in Redvers and the other two are under investigation in the Carlyle area.

Other calls to service

            Harassing communications was reported.

            RCMP responded to Mental Health Act calls.
