Nominated for business leader of the year is Kim Thorson, of Thorson and Horner Law office. Finalists for the Golden Service award are Home Hardware and Mel's On Third.
The Community Involvement finalists are Access Communications and the Mainil family of businesses. The six finalists for New or Expanded Business are Big Jim's Brew Shop, Clean Machine Janitorial, Knibbs and Associates, Souris Valley Industries, Western Financial and Young's Equipment.
Nominated for Business Hall of Fame were Access Communications, John and Helen Georgacacos and the RBC Royal Bank of Weyburn.
The Business of the Year award will be chosen from the winners of Golden Service, Community Involvement and New or Expanded Business.
The WEYBEX awards banquet will take place on Friday, June 8 at McKenna Hall. Tickets are now on sale and are available from the Chamber office. This events sells out very quickly.
The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce presents the WEYBEX awards bi-annually to celebrate business excellence in the community. The winners of each category are advanced to the provincial ABEX awards.
