The Weyburn Co-operative Association will be moving its location out of the City Centre Mall one month early, and will be consolidating their products to their Hill Avenue and Metro Centre locations.
Building materials will be relocated to the Hill Avenue location, while seasonal goods, home decor or lawn and garden decor will be relocated to the Metro Centre on Third Street.
Product lines that will no longer be stocked due to space constraints will be available on special order from the Hill Avenue location.
After several years of having the hardware and building material separated, the Co-op has decided to consolidate the two departments back in the same location.
"This consolidation will improve service levels. We will be able to staff one location with trained staff easier than having them split into two departments," said Don Kraft, general manager of the Weyburn Co-op.
The majority of the move out of the mall location will take place the week of Nov. 20, and the Co-op will close its mall location by Tuesday, Nov. 29.
Due to space restrictions, the Co-op is moving seasonal items, such as Christmas decorations, toys and small appliances to the Metro Cemtre.
"This decision was made to increase the service levels to the membership while reducing the costs of operation," said Kraft.
The last items to be moved will be the move of the paint department on Nov. 28-29.
The Hill Avenue location will be fully merchandised by Dec. 1.
