The Class of 2020 graduation ceremonies for the Weyburn Comprehensive School will be virtual only, on Saturday, June 27 at 7 p.m.
“We will be releasing our graduation plan to our parents, however we are planning a virtual graduation ceremony only,” said principal Ryan Fowler on Monday.
“The recommendations from the provincial government is that virtual graduations are the recommended form of graduation and any other forms are only if virtual is not possible,” he added. “We are following that recommendation and will be staying with a strictly virtual graduation. This will be held tentatively on Saturday, June 27 as per our original date, but more details will be released in terms of how to access the virtual graduation once we have them.”
The graduates and speakers will pre-record their parts and WCS has hired a production company to compile them into a video. Later in June, families will have a link sent that will allow them to access the video. The following is the list of speakers, and the order for the ceremonies:

Thank You’s and Wrap-up
Prior to Grad, the activities awards and academic awards will be held, also in a virtual format via Microsoft Teams. The Grades 7-12 activities awards will be held on Monday, June 15 at 7 p.m., and the Grade 12 academic awards will be held on Wednesday, June 17, at 7 p.m.
