The time has come and tickets are on sale to 'Urinetown' at the WCS office and Brady's House of Flowers. Although the school office is a little more difficult to get to because of construction, there is a route. Enter through the 'B doors' and follow signs to the north side of the school. Alternatively, enter the school on the east side (science wing) through the loading dock door or the door located at the north-east corner, from the teacher's parking lot.
The students are very enthusiastic about this musical. Once you get past the title, you will be entertained by a great story, big production numbers and some laughs. The question has been raised about the title but because of copyright laws we are not allowed to change anything about the script or advertising.
To get a sneak peek, and the first to see the production, consider coming to the Rotary Dinner Theater on Friday May 3rd. There will be a social time starting at 6, a fantastic served meal at 6:30 and then the show at 7:30. Assemble your friends and come out and enjoy an evening of musical theater in a relaxing and non-crowded atmosphere.
Public performances begin with a matinee on May 5 at 2:00 p.m. and evening shows May 8, 10 and 11 at 7:30 p.m.
The badminton team is continuing to practice and participate in tournaments leading up to sub-districts to be held at WCS on April 22. Who knows when track will be able to practice outside but there is an invitational meet set for Weyburn on May 11.
