This past weekend saw the end of the season for two of WCS's teams. The girls' soccer team was unable to advance beyond the first game of the provincial soccer championships with a heart-break shoot-out loss in their first game.

The football team was defeated by Yorkton Regional in the league semi-finals in Yorkton this past Saturday. Thanks to the players, coaches (especially the community coaches) for their time and effort.

The senior volleyball teams will be attending their final tournaments of the year this weekend and then will advance to provincial playdowns.

WCS would like to remind the community that the provincial 5A boys' championship will be held in Weyburn on November 15 and 16.

Due to the uncertainty with construction, the fall fowl supper, which has become a great tradition at WCS, and the fall music concerts have not been set as of yet but decisions will be made in the very near future.

The Rotary Club of Weyburn is pleased to be sponsoring the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School performance on Tuesday, November 26 at St. Michael's School starting at 7:30 p.m. It is a concert put on by the senior students of the RWB School and includes excerpts from many of the world famous ballets. These students are preparing to go out and launch their careers after many years of study. The school was here many years ago and presented a very enjoyable and worthwhile performance. It will be a great introduction to ballet to anyone who has never watched it before. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and will be available at Music Craft and the door.
