On October 7, there was a Post-Secondary Information Night held in the Colleen Weimer Hall. Any and all students wanting to find out more information about post-secondary education attended. The U of R, U of S and Sask Polytenic were in attendance along with a number of other colleges and universities from around the area.
The football team participated its last home game of the year on Thursday against Moose Jaw Peacock. Because of the Thanksgiving weekend, there are no volleyball tournaments this weekend. The girls' soccer team is in playoffs in the Moose Jaw league and are entered in regionals in the near future along with the boys' soccer team.
The three Weyburn radio stations were on location all day October 9, doing interviews and info breaks highlighting programs, students and extra-curricular happenings at the school. The day ended with a live broadcast of the football game against Moose Jaw Peacock. The staff and students welcomed the publicity given by all the media in Weyburn who help us get out the happenings at WCS.
The Weyburn Comprehensive School's fowl supper is back after a one year hiatus. It will be held on Tuesday November 25 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Cugnet Centre. Plan to attend.
