This week's sporting action at WCS included a girls, soccer game Tuesday in Estevan and a football game against Yorkton on Saturday, September 27 at 2:00 p.m. at Darold Kot Field. The football team is coming off a victory over Moose Jaw Central but will have a tough test against probably the best team in the league, the Yorkton Regional Raiders.
A few runners competed in the South East District cross-country finals in Carnduff on Wednesday, while the girls' soccer team is off to a tournament in Prince Albert this Friday and Saturday, September 26 and 27. The senior volleyball tournaments are at Regina Luther for the girls and Meadow Lake Carpenter for the boys.
A Gaming Club has started at the school and they meet in the library every Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Just a reminder that Monday, September 29 is a professional development day for teachers so there is no school for the students.
The cafeteria is up and running with professional chef Larry MacFarlane offering a great menu to the staff and students as well as teaching the student commercial cooking class.
