Soon the halls of WCS will be filled with hundreds of enthusiastic student leaders from across Canada in Weyburn to learn and share information and activities that will help them to lead their fellow students in their respective schools.

Weyburn people will benefit from learning about other parts of Canada from their billets and interacting with our guests.

The public is invited to experience the enthusiasm of more than 700 of the best leaders in Canada along with some great entertainment. The opening ceremonies for the CSLC will be held at Crescent Point Place on September 25 at 7:30 p.m. There will be a parade of delegates from the school beginning at 7:00, going down Government Road to CPP.

The public is also invited to go to CPP in the mornings to join with the delegates to hear the keynote speakers, starting off with Pinball Clemens on Wednesday, September 26 at 9:30 a.m. The conference winds-up with a gala banquet on the evening of September 29. Resident hosts will guide the students and advisors out and about doing leadership training at Jubilee Park and Nickel Lake. The students will also be doing two hours of community service from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on September 29.

We here in Weyburn are so fortunate to host such a national conference and we all look forward to a fantastic time had by all. An enormous thank-you must go out to Joanne Jensen and Margot Arnold, the conference's coordinators, along with their steering committee and volunteers. This event would not take place without the tremendous work of these two dedicated leaders and their helpers.
