The Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Club plays on Mondays at 7 p.m. and Thursdays at 1 p.m. at the Wheatland Senior Centre. All bridge players are welcome to come and play.
In February the club had steady numbers playing. On February 3 there were five tables and Gord Bell and Jim Kaz claimed first place; Barry Mactaggart and Diane Bell placed second; Marg Stewart and Fred Milleker came third; and Garnet Hart and Boyd Stewart were fourth.
Five tables also played on March 6 and taking top honours were Fred Milleker and Erskine Sandiford; second went to Jim Kaz and Denis Tremblay; third went to Lloyd Muma and Ron Wormsbecker, and fourth went to John Whitell and Terry Bendickson.
February 10 had four and a half tables and in a close finish Erskine and Mildred Sandiford finished in first place; Jim Kaz and Rocky Sidloski came second; Garnet Hart and Boyd Stewart were third; and Jean Knibbs and Shirley Sparks placed fourth.
On February 13 there were five and a half tables and the winners were Theresa Istace and Erskine Sandiford; second place went to Linda Kot and Lucie Nickel; third went to Barry Mactaggart and Jim Kaz; and fourth went to Joan Harder and Jean Fahlman.
Three and a half tables played on February 17 and first place went to Barry Mactaggart and Jim Kaz; second place went to Fred Milleker and Rocky Sidloski; and third went to Terry Bendickson and John Whitell.
On February 20 with four and a half tables playing, Marg Stewart and Lydia Milleker took top honours, Linda Kot and Theresa Istace placed second; Barry Mactaggart and Lucie Nickel came third; and Terry Bendickson and John Whitell were fourth.
February 24 had three and a half tables and first place went to Barry Mactaggart and Jim Kaz; Linda Kot and Theresa Istace came second, and Marg Stewart and Joan Harder were third.
The final game of the month on February 27 had Terry Bendickson and John Whitell placing first; Barry Mactaggart and Marg Stewart came second; Joan Harder and Jean Fahlman were third, edging out Meta Murray and Shirley Sparks who took fourth.
