Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Report

The Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Club is back to playing twice a week: Monday evenings at 7 p.m. and Thursday afternoons at 1 p.m. at the Wheatland Senior Centre. All bridge players are welcome.

September 1 had three and a half tables and claiming first place were Jim Brown and Jean Knibbs, in second place were John Whitell and George Gillies, and in third place were Lydia Milleker and Lucie Nickel.

On September 4, with three and a half tables, Diane Bell and Marg Stewart finished in first place, Marion Brown and Vivian Truscott placed second, and Barry Mactaggart and Lucie Nickel were third.

With three and a half tables playing on September 8, Marg Marinos and Audrey Warawa were first place winners, and there was a tie for second between partners Gord and Diane Bell and partners Annie Balzer and Marion Brown.

On September 11 four tables played and Fran Franks and Reggie Frank took top honours, followed closely by Diane Bell and Marg Stewart in second, and Marion Brown and Vivian Truscott in third.

With two and a half tables playing on September 15, Jim Brown and Jim Kaz placed first, followed by Diane Bell and Barry Mactaggart in second.

September 18 had just two tables and first place went to Barry Mactaggart and Lucie Nickel, and second place went to Fran Franks and Reggie Frank.

On September 22 with two and a half tables there was a tie for first between the team of Kim Kaz and George Gillies, and partners Lucie Nickel and Andy Dumba.

Four tables played on September 25 and Barry Mactaggart with his sister, Shirley Gregorash, took top honours; Jim Brown and George Gillies came second; and Fran Franks and Reggie Frank were third.

September 29 had three tables and Diane and Gord Bell placed first, and Barry Mactaggart and Marg Stewart were second.
