Weyburn police deals with several disputes and fights

In the early morning of Sept. 13, the Weyburn Police Service attended a local alcohol establishment in regard to a fight and an unconscious male. The 25-year-old male was transported to the Weyburn General hospital for medical attention.

The other male is described as short, with short dark hair, forearm tattoos, and was wearing a grey T-shirt. City police attended a verbal dispute between a 62-year-old male landlord and a 28-year-old male tenant regarding rental payment on Sept. 9. Police assisted them with their issues and left the scene without incident.

Multiple times police were called to attend a domestic dispute on Sept. 10 at the residence of a 47-year-old male and female who have separated but have chosen to reside together. The couple was advised to seek legal advice and to refrain from bothering one another.

Police attended a call of a domestic dispute between a 25-year-old female and her 48-year-old male partner whom she was believed to be suicidal on Sept. 12. Police helped to calm the situation and left without incident.

Police received a report on Sept. 13 that two males in their 20s were involved in a physical altercation with an unknown male described as wearing a red hat backwards and a black hoodie and carrying a 2X4 piece of wood. No injuries were reported to police. The matter is still under investigation.

Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle in an alley on Sept. 13. The vehicle was located and two 18-year-old males were found to be in possession of cannabis. They were arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act for possession of a controlled substance under 30 grams.

Police assisted a 38-year-old female and her infant daughter find lodging after she left a domestic dispute that occurred with her partner on Sept. 13. The department of Social Services was called in to assist with the situation.
