Weyburn's elementary schools have come together to take part in a “Spring Clean for Inclusion”.
They are asking for help from area residents in collecting donation items for the Weyburn yellow bins. This is a great time to go through your belongings, spring clean, and organize. Participating schools include Queen Elizabeth, St. Michael, Souris, Haig and Assiniboia Park Elementary.
From April 27 to May 1,residents can drop off their gently used items to their school or any elementary school in Weyburn. The schools are working together to see how much they can collect.
They will be collecting items such as clothing, shoes, accessories, linens, books, dishes, toys, and games. For a list of all available donation items please visit http://www.theyellowbin.com/
The Community Living Yellow bin truck will collect and weigh the donations and a monetary amount will be given to Inclusion Weyburn.
The yellow bins in Weyburn directly benefit the Inclusion Weyburn branch, who are dedicated to supporting and ensuring that individuals from Weyburn and area who have an intellectual disability are valued, supported and included members of the community, and have opportunities and choices in all aspects of life.
Inclusion Weyburn is thankful to everyone who donates and supports this initiative, and thank residents for helping support those living in the community with intellectual disabilities.
