A burst of nature's fireworks exploded in the skies over Weyburn on Wednesday night, as a very active thunderstorm rolled quickly through the city and area late in the evening. The burst of heavy rain and wind caught the Weyburn Beavers in their dugout as their game against Swift Current was shortened by the storm in the seventh inning. There was a lot of lightning and heavy rain and there were brief power outages throughout the city and area.
