Don Goranson donation

Legion member, a past president and peacetime soldier Brian Glass, and Legion chaplain Marj McLeod, accepted the donation of an air force uniform from Don Goranson, a veteran of the Second World War.

He served in bomber command, and flew in a Halifax plane for six missions over Germany in 1945.

Once the war ended, he volunteered for the Pacific theatre, but that part of the war ended before he was able to get there.

His uniform, including his wartime medals, will be put on display in the Legion Hall.

Glass served in peacetime with the Irish Rangers from 1967 to 1975, and served in such places as Germany and Cyprus, serving with peacekeeping forces there in 1972-73.
