Irma Mckinstry is a resident of Parkway lodge in Weyburn, where she has lived since August of 2019. She celebrated her 101st birthday on March 25.
Irma grew up in Quill Lake, Sask., in a family of 10. She enjoyed curling, bowling, gardening, was active in the United Church and was a member of Order of Eastern Star.
She married Jack Mckinstry at age 19. After the Second World War, they moved to Griffin and then to Weyburn. She was a mom and a housewife all her life.
The couple raised one daughter, Lynda, who lives in B.C.
