Brett Ferguson, President of the Weyburn Young Fellows, said the Tot Lot holds a special place for the Young Fellows. “We built the original paddling pool, we put in the playground equipment, so when this one needed the work, we decided that we should step up”, explained Ferguson.

The City of Weyburn is currently in the design phase of the project. The construction of the paddling pool is set to begin in May/June of 2016, with a goal of having the grand opening on July 1 of that same year. The new project will increase the size of the paddling pool by nearly double, with zero beach entry, larger grounds, with additional green space and more shaded areas, both trees and covers.  The new paddling pool will be named the Young Fellows Paddling Pool.
