RP Automotive recently donated $1,000 to the Weyburn Wor-Kin Shop Corp.'s new Day Program Building fund.

"We are pleased to be able to give back to the community by supporting the fundraising efforts of the Weyburn Wor-Kin Shop Corp.," said Rodney Pickering, owner of RP Automotive.

All funds raised will go towards the agency's goal of raising $500,000 in order to begin construction on their new Day Program facility to support adults with intellectual disabilities.

"Our total committed funds have now surpassed $200,000," stated Executive Director of Weyburn Wor-Kin Shop, Andria Brady. "The Ministry of Social Services has confirmed construction will not be allowed to proceed until the entire $500,000 has been raised. We are still optimistic that a spring/summer 2013 start can happen, with the support of the citizens and businesses in Weyburn."

The agency is holding the 'Half a Million" Benefit Fundraiser on March 18 with the goal of bringing in all remaining funds that evening. Tickets can be purchased directly from the Weyburn Wor-Kin Shop Corp.
