The Weyburn Wor-Kin Shop’s TEAM Employment Services announced that the TEAM work crew will once again be taking bookings for odd jobs.
“Our work crew is available for hire to complete many jobs around the community,” said Employment Coordinator Meagan McLeod. “We handle all jobs big and small, including mowing lawns, raking leaves, picking weeds, rototilling, watering flowers, gardening, window washing and exterior painting, to name a few.”
The Wor-Kin Shop’s supported employment program was created to develop employment opportunities for individuals of all abilities in a supportive and inclusive environment. Being a part of the TEAM work crew not only provides TEAM members paid employment opportunities but it also teaches work ethic, responsibility, time management, and builds skills and confidence which are essential for future employment.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the crews will be taking the all necessary precautions to maintain TEAM member’s and customer’s safety, while following the recommendations set out by the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the Government of Saskatchewan.
