Maddy Lazurko leads her new horse, "Blue", around in a horse pen as she works on breaking in the horse on her family's farm west of Weyburn on Sept. 12. The horse is three years old and is yet unbroken; she spent time working with the horse, then put a bit and bridle in, only the second time the horse has taken a bit in its mouth. Maddy is a student in Grade 11 at the Weyburn Comp, and is a member of the Weyburn 4-H Light Horse Club.
