Yellow Grass (cpd) — A fiber optics line was cut near Weyburn on Oct. 10, leaving part of Weyburn and all of Yellow Grass without landline or cell phone service from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Business remained open to provide service.
A flu clinic will be held in the Drop-In Centre on Friday, Oct. 31, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
Bing Jaster’s 96th birthday was honoured at the Drop-In Centre on Oct. 16. Over 30 friends attended to wish Bing a happy birthday. Cake, ice cream, tea, coffee, and good visiting were enjoyed by all.
On Sunday, Oct. 26 at 4 p.m. the welcome service for the new minister, Reverend Mary (Molly) Kitchen will be held in the Yellow Grass United Lutheran Church. A potluck supper will follow. Everyone is welcome. This service will be held in place of the regular Sunday morning worship service.
Shuffleboard was played at the Drop-In Centre on Oct. 10. The A team winners were Rena Wilke and Sue Wood. The B team winners were Lona Wilkinson and Sophie Skulmonski.
