Weyburn's Triple C Centre committee is getting "near the finish line" of their funding goal, and a gift announced by Cenovus Energy on Tuesday night has almost brought them to their full goal.

Local fisherman, Rev. Ross McMurtry has won the 2012 Fisherman of the Year award from the Pine Island Resort. "I enjoy the water, I enjoy the landscape, I enjoy the boating and of course the fishing," said McMurtry.
