Model engines of all kinds will be featured at the latest installment of Kelly Tytlandsvik's annual outing, known as the Model Engineering Show.

They characterized the meeting as being disappointing, and they left it feeling somewhat discouraged, but by no means are they giving up the battle.

Farmers prepare for 2012

With an ambitious goal in place, the Estevan United Way will hold its 35th annual telethon Friday at the Royal Canadian Legion. The United Way will be seeking to raise $300,000.

The event was a success. There was no doubt about it. People filled grandstand after grandstand. Children sat attentively with their eyes glued to the race track. Engines roared, dust flew and cameras flashed.

Arcola School raised $3,322.25 for the Terry Fox Foundation when the school participated in its annual Terry Fox Run on Sept. 28. With more money coming in daily, it is obvious that the 31st year for the event was a real success.

The world changed for one precious little girl on Sept. 14. But a community came together for her soon after. Five-year-old Gwen Kleyh was diagnosed with leukemia just days after her first day of Kindergarten.

Carlyle Elementary School held their annual Terry Fox Run on Sept. 28. Students, staff, and community members took to the route on a day filled with warmth and fall beauty.
