Farmers in the southeast are far behind the provincial average for seeded crops due to wet conditions.

With spring seeding almost at a stand-still due to weather, producers are wondering what will come as the crop insurance deadline approaches and much of the land in the area is left to be seeded.

The end of the school year is approaching quickly. Students who are interested in purchasing a school yearbook should do so prior to June 15. A grades 10-12 exam schedule went out to students this week.

There used to be the white school, then the red school, and then came Weldon.

Few crops are seeded as season approaches end

A pair of Florida children will soon be reunited with their mother after they were found in Estevan last week.

In response to recent rainfall and increased runoff into Boundary and Rafferty Reservoirs in southeast Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Watershed Authority has increased outflows from Boundary Reservoir.

Estevan provincial court heard further bail hearings for local individuals charged in a May long weekend kidnapping. During the June 2 proceedings, a show-cause hearing for Spencer Persson was held.

On the night of June 1, a 25-year-old Estevan man was arrested for being intoxicated in public and lodged in cells for the rest of the night.

Grade 12 students from Weyburn Comprehensive will be hosting their graduation ceremonies on Tuesday, June 28. Graduating students are to meet in the Cafetorium at the Comp at 9:30 a.m. The graduation ceremonies will then begin at 10 a.m.
