If there was a theme for the 2010 edition of the Estevan Fair, it would have been making the best of a bad situation.

Local resident Ivan Robb was awarded the 2010 Al McGuire "Transition to Employment" award at a banquet in Saskatoon on June 18 for transitioning into an employment situation and displaying a strong work ethic.

Weyburn has done it again. The city won the Golden Garbage Can competition against Estevan on June 21 and 22.

Classes and final exams are over for the students of Weyburn Comprehensive School (WCS). The only major event remaining for WCS students is graduation.Graduation will be held June 26, beginning with the graduation ceremony at 10 a.m.

The Weyburn Wor-Kin Shop Corp. held their annual general meeting on June 16, providing recycling statistics for Weyburn and area. Executive Director Andria Brady said that the recycling program saw increased growth in the past year.
