The CanElson Drilling Estevan Bruins kept pace in their hunt for a top-three spot in the Sherwood Conference on Friday, hammering the Kindersley Klippers 8-1 at Spectra Place.

It was a tale of two teams for the Estevan Apex Bruins on the weekend. The midget AA squad defeated the Notre Dame Argos 5-1 in a road game Friday, then lost 3-2 to the Weyburn Wings Saturday at Spectra Place.

Jan 6, 2012 was the Carlyle Skating Club's Test Day. It started around 11:30 am & went until 7:30 pm. The judges came in from Regina and skaters from surrounding clubs visited Carlyle to be tested.

The Wings drew the Notre Dame Hounds for their first round of SHA provincial playoffs, which is played as a two game total goals contest. Game one was played January 11 at Crescent Point Place.

Congratulations to Wade's Carlyle Cougars on their win against the Stoughton Eagles this past Sunday on home ice. Jarred Valentine was in the lead for scoring with seven goals for the Cougars. Tyler Colpitts was close behind with six goals.

The Carlyle 6 & under hockey team coached by Ryan Irwin and Jeff Humphries had their first tournament of the season on Saturday January 14, 2012 at Redvers. Their first game was against Redvers B and their second game was against Moosomin.
