Nineteen members of the Weyburn Silver Seals travelled to Oxbow to compete in the southern provincial semi-finals on July 23. Steven Speers took home a gold medal in the 15-17 year-old boys category.

The Weyburn Ladies Golf Club held their 11th annual golf tournament on July 23 and 24 at the Weyburn Golf Course with 103 golfers participating.

Ryan Mehler was willing to go anywhere to play baseball at a high level again. Anywhere ended up being Feldkirch, Austria, playing in the Austrian Baseball League.

The Estevan Golden Eels won their semifinal meet in Oxbow on Saturday and had 26 swimmers qualify for the provincials this weekend in Humboldt. Only 15 of them will be attending the meet due to the travel distance and other commitments.
