The Bantam Cougars travelled to Radville Nov.25 and Weyburn Nov.27. The team played well both these games. Lots of passing and teamwork led the Cougars to victory in both these games. 4-3 vs.Radville and 11-0 vs Weyburn Co-op.

The Pee Wee Cougars were "tournamenting" again last weekend. They finished second in their pool and ended up winning the B Side Final in a one day tournament in Estevan. In the first game, against Estevan Sanjel, the Cougars came out strong.

The La Ronge Ice Wolves exploded for six third-period goals to upend the Eagle Drilling Estevan Bruins 7-2 at Mel Hegland Arena last night.

Members of the Vilcu's Karate Club competed in the Fifth Annual open martial arts Young Tigers Challenge in Melville on Nov. 27. The competition was open to participants of all ages, levels and styles of martial arts.

The SJHL's 2010 Showcase took place in Weyburn over the weekend, and the Eagle Drilling Estevan Bruins came away with three of a possible four points thanks to a win over Melville and a shoot-out loss to the host Red Wings.

The Estevan female Baxter midget A Cougars improved their record to 9-1-2 over the weekend with two home wins. The Weyburn TS&M Oilers were at the Lignite Miners Centre to take on the Cougars on Friday evening.

"If we're not in the top three at Christmas, and I think we should be, but if we're not and the executive wants to get rid of me, I'll be happy to walk out the door and hand over everything to the next guy, with no hard feelings.

With three more wins over the weekend, the Estevan Apex midget AA Bruins made it eight straight victories. The Bruins got by Melville, the Regina Wild and Weyburn to improve their record to 16-3-1 on the season.

It was an excellent weekend for the Estevan female Power Dodge peewee Vipers as they went 5-0 at the SaskTel Female Hockey Challenge in Regina to win the A side of the tournament.

A Weyburn youth was named an all-star in three different categories at the Regina Intercollegiate Football League (RIFL) awards banquet held on Nov. 18 in Regina.
