Mahlyn Bomberak of Bienfait, Jennika Linthicum of Estevan, Ryan Hoeving of Weyburn and Rachel Tober of Oxbow joined athletes from Regina and Saskatoon on the 15U girls Team Sask.

The Stoughton Soccer Club was competing against the SUSC Swansea team from Saskatoon during in the U19 Boys Division Soccer Outdoor Provincials.

Matthews has played 170 games for the Rush, scored 343 goals, added 606 assists for 949 points. 

Hailey Tangjerd, Ava Salminen and Rylee Briscoe will be part of Team Saskatchewan at the event, while Aurora McCutcheon will be on the Indigenous entry, which will have players from throughout the country.

The Odessa Country Steelers defeated the Ceylon Devils to win the Borderline Ladies Fastball League championship.

The Weyburn Thrashers U13, U15 and U17 box lacrosse teams were in Moose Jaw for the Saskatchewan Lacrosse Association House Provincials this past weekend.

Interest was higher than their capacity, so they expanded their entries.

Estevan’s Kody Scholpp won the 30-lap feature race for the Dakota Classic Modified Tour. Scholpp started on the outside of the front row, took the lead and outlasted the 25 other drivers to win in convincing fashion.

The Weyburn Senior Beavers split their weekend games hosting the Okotoks Dawgs at Tom Laing Park, and dropped a doubleheader to Moose Jaw
