The Cugnet Centre was the home of the annual Inspirations of Dace competition hosted by Marley’s Dance Effex in Weyburn from Thursday, March.12 to Sunday, March.15.

Megan Leblanc of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology Ooks (NAIT) was the Alberta Collegiate Athletics Conference’s (ACAC) women's hockey top scorer for the 2019-20 regular season.

The Estevan Sharks water polo club wrapped up their season with their first-ever awards night on Friday at the Beefeater Plaza. The Sharks, who have teams in several different age groups, handed out awards in a variety of categories.

Weyburn’s Special Olympics bowling team travelled to Thunder Bay, Ont., to take part in the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games in February, and returned with good memories and two singles medals.

The season for the Estevan Bruins, the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League and junior A hockey in Canada has been officially cancelled.

Powerlifters from Weyburn had a great showing at the Canadian Powerlifting Union National Championships in Winnipeg over the March 7-8 weekend. There were seven competitors from Weyburn participating.

In partnership with the Weyburn Soccer Association, instructors from the Saskatchewan Soccer Association visited a majority of the elementary schools in Weyburn this past week.

Concerns regarding the COVID-19 virus have forced the postponement of a provincial event in Estevan. The CurlSask masters men’s and women’s curling championships, for those over the age of 60, were happening at the Power Dodge Curling Centre.

A large karate tournament will be hosted by Vilcu’s Karate Klub on Saturday, March 28, at the Weyburn Comp’s Eagle gym.

The Estevan Bruins series with the Melfort Mustangs has been suspended until further notice due to the COVID-19 virus.
