The Estevan Apex midget AA Bruins won their final home game in the Saskatchewan Minor AA Hockey League’s regular season, defeating the Lumsden-Bethune Lions 7-2 on Sunday night.

Twelve teams entered the atom house tournament organized by the Estevan Minor Hockey Association from Jan. 18-20.

The South East midget AA Goldwings female hockey team continued to dominate in league play, as they defeated the Notre Dame Hounds 5-3 on Jan. 18 in Midale.

Two local players whose first ice skating steps were taken in the Estevan area are now pursuing their careers in Red Deer, Alta. Estevan hockey fans still remember 2016-17 Power Dodge Estevan Bruins captain Lynnden Pastachak.

The Estevan Curling Club is celebrating Curling Day in Saskatchewan with a day filled with activities at the Power Dodge Curling Centre. The day started with students from Westview School learning the game, and tossing some rocks down the ice.
