Enrolling her young son Tanner into tykes level lacrosse several years ago began a family’s love of the sport that has continued into Misty Hall earning an award from the provincial lacrosse association for Volunteer of the Year.

The Carlyle Hooters Rec. hockey team has honored one of their own by having the Hooters’ logo and “In loving memory” of teammate Wayne Dunn, affectionately known as “Papa”, painted on the side of the zamboni at the sports arena.

It was a very good showing for the Estevan TS&M Bruins on the weekend in a major showcase tournament. The Bruins made it to the C semifinal in the 30-team Graham Tuer Bantam AA Challenge tournament held annually in Regina.

The Estevan Apex midget AA Bruins got a pair of very different results from road games on the weekend.

After a week of frustration in the Sherwood Division, the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins unleashed a deluge of goals in their last road game there this week, a 9-4 clobbering of the Melfort Mustangs.
