After taking a step back in a home doubleheader on May 29, the KPC Estevan mosquito AAA Sluggers got back on track with a hard-fought performance at a Weyburn Beavers tournament last weekend.

The annual Lampman Sports Weekend featured a variety of sporting events as well as other community activities from June 3 to 5. Several different tournaments ensured there would be lots of sports played during all three days.

The Estevan Southeast Elite 16-and-under softball team is looking for a return to provincial glory this summer.

It was an extremely successful showing for the South East within the Saskatchewan High School Athletics Association (SHSAA) Provincial Track and Field meet in Regina on June 3 and 4.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are looking for new blood to help meet the needs of Canadian hospital patients. The team kicked off Bleed Green season seven at a training camp at the University of Saskatoon Football Field.

The Weyburn Beavers won two games over the weekend, making them a .500 team in the standings. Currently both the Beavers and Melville Millionaries are tied for third/fourth place in the Eastern division of the Western Major Baseball league.
