High school athletics were busy on the weekend with girls volleyball conferences hosted on Saturday, Nov. 7. Locally Lampman hosted the 2A Girls South Conference 1 competition, while Carlyle hosted the 3A Girls South Conference 3 competition.

The Western Major Baseball League has announced a major development for their league’s footprint for the upcoming 2016 season.

The Arcola Sr. Boys and Carlyle Sr. Boys hosted a 12-team tournament on Friday, Oct. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 31. Attending were Moosomin, Arcola, Kahkewistahaw, Lampman, Gladmar, Stoughton, Manor, Carlyle, Sturgis, Yellow Grass, NOEC, and Redvers.
