Former Weyburn Red Wing Coach Dwight McMillan was inducted into the Walk of Fame at a ceremony held at City Hall on June 20. McMillan was honoured in the Athletics and Recreation category, for his 37 year dedication to the team.

The Estevan KPC mosquito AAA Sluggers bats came alive during a 19-11 win over the White Butte Broncos on June 21, in White City. Estevan was supposed to play two games against the Broncos but game two was cancelled due to rain.

Coming together on Sunday, June 21, the Moose Mountain Baseball League had their playoffs in Carlyle. With teams coming to participate in Rally Cap, Mosquito, Peewee, Bantam, and Midget categories the day was filled with fun competition.

The Estevan junior Coaler Rollers roller derby team concluded the season with a black versus pink scrimmage game during their windup on June 21. The game included both level one and two skaters along with the level three skaters.

The Estevan Golden Eels Swim Club competed in their first swim meet of the season in Humboldt on June 20, and placed second overall. Seventeen Golden Eels swam in the meet, with six of them earning medals.

The Southeast Legacy midget AAA Twins had two tough losses against the Saskatoon Cubs and the Muenster Red Sox on June 20.

The Estevan Harris Oilfield senior Impact Lacrosse team finished the regular season with losses against the Regina Heat. They fell 24-3 on June 20, and dropped a 17-4 decision on June 21.

The Under-12 Weyburn Lil Red Devils brought home gold medals from a tournament in Balgonie from June 12-14. The girls started off the weekend with a 2-0 win over QC United Jr on June 12.
