The 2015 version of the Estevan Bruin Alumni Par 3 Golf Tournament was bigger and better than ever. It was particularly huge for Tyler Hengen.

The Estevan Comprehensive School track and field team used the district competition as a hearty tune-up for provincials. The squad earned 10 first-place finishes and will send 16 of the team’s 24 athletes to provincials this weekend in Yorkton.

Estevan Minor Football and the Regina Thunder of the Canadian Junior Football League teamed up for a football clinic on May 23 at Chow Field. There were 37 young football players from ages 8-15 participating in the clinic.

Action began last week in the Saskota Baseball League.

The Southeast Vipers Volleyball Club concluded their season with 18U nationals held in Calgary, AB, at the BMO Centre.

The CanElson Drilling Estevan Bruins have acquired Dane Schioler from the Portage Terriers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL).

The Estevan KPC mosquito AAA Sluggers dropped a doubleheader against the Regina Buffalos on May 23 in their home opener. Estevan led throughout the first game, but eventually lost 11-10 and fell 15-5 in the following game.
