The Estevan Golden Eels Swim Club began its season with an inaugural swim camp at the R.M. of Estevan Aquatc Centre on May 8 and 9, as there were 37 youth who participated.

The Estevan novice Vipers lacrosse team earned a 9-5 win against a Regina team in their final game of a tournament on May 9 and 10 in Regina. The Vipers played four games in the tournament as other matchups resulted in, 9-5, 9-7 and 5-3 losses.

The Estevan senior Impact team dropped two games against the Saskatoon Brewers on May 9 and 10 in Saskatoon. They lost the first game 15-2 and the second game 14-0. In the first game, the goal scorers were Lucas Smyth and Mark Moriarty.

The Southeast Legacy midget AAA Twins recently won two out of three games with the offence coming alive and producing runs.

Marg Leavens and Jan Thorn presented residents of Weyburn Special Care Home with trophies at the end of the Combo Bowlers bowling season. Residents bowl from September to May, typically once a week, within the care home or at the lanes.

The Weyburn Red Wings are continuing to make great strides in their efforts to become debt free.

The 18U Vipers competed in Sask Volleyball Provincials on Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3. Here they earned a silver medal in Tier 3. The girls came out hard against Montmartre, but despite a tough battle were unable to earn the win.

The Southeast Legacy midget AAA Twins recently split a two game set with the Saskatoon Giants but lost back to back games against the Muenster Red Sox during opening-season action over the weekend.

The CanElson Drilling Estevan Bruins coaching staff had their hands full evaluating roughly 75 players during their annual spring prospect camp on May 1 to 3. Five teams played four scrimmage games to show off skills for the Bruins' coaching staff.

The Estevan senior Impact lacrosse team dropped their first two games of the season against the Moose Jaw Chiefs on May 2 and 3. They fell 22-2 on May 2, and dropped a 21-5 decision the following day.
