The 18U Vipers had the opportunity to compete at the University of Regina on Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, as they participated in the 18U Cougars Volleyball Club tournament.

The Estevan Cathedral Energy bantam Warriors captured the bronze medal during their opening tournament of the season in Swift Current. There were four teams, including Estevan, in the bantam division of the tournament.

The Estevan peewee Warriors lacrosse team got their first glance of competitive play this year in Swift Current’s pre-season tournament on April 18 and 19. Estevan started the tournament against Swift Current on April 18 and dropped a 3-2 decision.

Bruins pick up Owen LaClare, reclaim Darcey DeRoose

The annual Bruins Sportsman Dinner was a success with the organization raising $65,000 from the event. There were around 500 people in attendance according to Bruins operations and marketing manager Clark Munroe.

Kristen Skjonsby of the Estevan Comprehensive School’s (ECS) senior girls basketball team played for Team South in the Daytona All-Star Game this past weekend in Saskatoon.

Seven members of the Weyburn Wrestling Club attended the National Cadet/Juvenile Wrestling Championships in Fredriction, NB, April 9 to 11.

The Estevan Minor Box Lacrosse Association is expecting lots of action with a record of 140 youth registered for the sport.

It’s been an amazing start into football for me and it’s been an incredibly rewarding experience during the first 12 months.

The 15U Vipers have been working hard this year and their efforts are paying off. They travelled to Regina on Thursday, April 11 and 12, where they competed in the Great Canadian Oil Change Extreme 15U tournament.
