The Alameda Aces have been crowned SHA Bantam C Provincial champs. The Aces came out on top in Game One 7-6 in Alameda Saturday March 21 st in front of a packed house.

The Weyburn Cobra Wrestling Club sent ten wrestlers to the Freshie-Bantam Provincial Championships in Prince Albert on March 28. Weyburn Wrestlers came away with five gold, three silver and one bronze medal.

The Weyburn Wildlife Federation Archery Club will be hosting an Indoor 3D Fun Shoot on April 11 starting at 9:00 a.m. The event will take place at the indoor range located in Goodwater (about a 30 minutes south of Weyburn).

The 2006 Moose Mountain Drillers' roster consists of players from Carlyle, Carnduff, Stoughton, Oxbow, Lampman, Redvers, Kipling, and Manor.

The 15U Southeast Vipers were in Warman, Sk, at the Legends Centre for the weekend of March 28 and 29 where they competed in their second Sask Cup. Starting in a pool of five, Arcola took on Regina RVC Gold in the first match of the day.

Team Stewart’s curling year came to a close at the Curlsask Juvenile Men competition held in Nipawin, March 19-22. Stewart began the competition with a narrow loss to Rylan Kleiter of Saskatoon on opening Thursday.

The Estevan Sharks water polo club won gold medals in the 12U co-ed division and the 14U girls age category, at the spring provincials in Saskatoon on March 28 and 29.

The Bienfait Coalers collected their fifth championship in five years on March 26 after they defeated the Wawota Flyers 6-2, and broke Wawota’s record for most consecutive championships that they held for 40 years.

The Estevan junior Roller Derby team, built on team chemistry and learned the mental aspects of the sport during a retreat at Metochos Lutheran Bible Camp on March 27 and 28. Twenty-four girls from ages nine to 16 participated in the retreat.

Two teams from the Estevan Minor Hockey Association’s (EMHA) female division recently won championships, which is a great accomplishment for the organization.
