Many children came out to Sacred Heart School/Ecole Sacré Coeur to participate in the second annual Family Golf Night on March 19. The event was organized by the TS&M Woodlawn Golf Club.

The CanElson Drilling Estevan Bruins have two graduating players after the 2014-15 season, which include Wyatt Garagan and RT Rice. Garagan played for the club for three seasons and really enjoyed his experience.

The Prairie Mud peewee A Bruins closed out their season by making it to the A final of the 18-team Rod Hamm Memorial Tournament in Saskatoon on March 20 to 22.

The Estevan Comprehensive School (ECS) senior girls Elecs basketball team dropped both of their games during the regional tournament in Regina on March 20 and 21.

The Estevan Comprehensive School (ECS) senior boys Elecs basketball team fell short of qualifying for Hoopla at regionals in Regina on March 20 and 2. They lost to the Regina Riffel 83-75 on March 20, but defeated Balgonie 56-55 the following day.

Members of the Estevan Sharks water polo team have been busy of late, competing with Team Sask. This past weekend, six local athletes competed for Team Sask at the Alberta Open in Calgary.

Drag racing at the Estevan Airport will not happen this year, due to pavement rehabilitation, according to Estevan Drag Racing Association (EDRA) president Jim Forrest.

The Estevan Power Tech female midget AA Panthers defeated the Regina Capitals 4-3 on March 18 to become league champions. Regina led 2-0 after the first period.

The Estevan Power Dodge peewee A Vipers went 1-1 in the first weekend of league playoff in Regina as they still have a chance at the championship. Estevan defeated the Regina Rampage 4-1 on Mar. 7 and lost 6-5 to Moose Jaw the following day.

Nine members of the Weyburn Comp Wrestling team attended the Saskatchewan High School Regional Championships in Warman on March 7.
