It was a summer of uncertainty for Brant Harris, but he finally has a place to call his hockey home.

T he Estevan Comprehensive School boys soccer team hosted regionals on the weekend, and while they didn't win it all, they did enough to secure a berth at provincials.

Bruins blown out twice

Members of the Weyburn Junior High A boys volleyball team won gold during a tournament, which they co-hosted with Yellow Grass School on Oct. 17 and 18. The WJH Cobras won the A side championship by beating Alameda in two sets.

Every coach and every player knew how important the two games were. Two losses against the last-place Weyburn Red Wings, and the CanElson Drilling Estevan Bruins would fall to 2-7 on the season and dig a hole almost impossible to get out of.

Estevan native Brant Harris has found his new team. The 24-year-old right winger signed with the East Coast Hockey League's Florida Everblades recently. The Everblades are located in Estero, Fla.
