There has been a lot of speculation about the future of our league, the CFL, ever since the COVID-19 pandemic hit. The league cancelled its 2020 season, and there’s no guarantee the CFL will have a 2021 campaign, either.

The editor: So now what? The last call was recited; the flags are flying at full mast.

In this column, I decided to share a story from the Russian criminal world, which recently was brought back to the public's and my attention and shocked me.

We really shouldn’t be surprised that the Saskatchewan Health Authority decided not to approve the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s (SJHL) request to have an abbreviated regular season under a bubble format. Disappointed? Absolutely.

Wawota Lions Club has four new inductees. They are Kayle Swanson, Brady Dinwoodie, Dylan Lamontagne and Dale Hewitt. This brings the membership to 32. The Lions are a very busy group and make Wawota a better place to live. Thank you for your service.
