How do I escape?

Since moving to this almost idyllic place along the shores of the Pacific Ocean, there’s always been a nagging thought in the back of my mind: how would we get out of here in an emergency? Tough times of every type are usually associated with flights

There are not many sure things in this world. Invest your money and you could gain or lose. Your favourite sports team may win or not. Local weather says it is going to be sunny this weekend? Better bring an umbrella just in case.

The last couple of weeks of June were not kind to Estevan when it came to crime. There was a stabbing in the southwest end of the city. But there were also impaired driver arrests, a rash of vandalism incidents, drug busts and other incidents.

There has been a lot of discussion by Weyburn residents in the last couple of years about the speed limit in school zones that has been put into place all over the city, and whether it’s too much or too strict.

The money that the federal government supplied to Estevan through the Canada Coal Transition Incentive (CCTI) is a nice start, but a lot more money will be needed for this community.
