An active thunderstorm lit up the night skies south of Weyburn with a storm that slowly made its way eastward. This gallery of photos shows just some of the lightning as viewed from near Ralph on Friday night looking to the south.

Swimmers from different clubs have been in the pool, trying to get points for their club in the standings.

A summer camp run by the Weyburn Canoe-Kayak Club at Nickle Lake Regional Park has kids out on the water as well as doing other activities around the park through the summer. The club has eight staff, and operates seven days a week, as each evening and weekend the canoes and kayaks are available for rentals for whoever wants to go out on Nickle Lake.

Nearly 80 drivers competed between the modified and stock car classes.

The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce had over 80 floats entered into the 2024 Summer Parade, held on Thursday morning, and named the two winners on Friday.

A bike rodeo was held in Jubilee Park on July 3, put on jointly by the Weyburn Police Service and the Weyburn Public Library, with 14 stations set up on the loop around the park, manned by volunteers. The stations covered the various rules and techniques for bike-riding, and included a helmet check and mechanics check of each bicycle.

The skies over the Weyburn exhibition grounds were lit up with colourful bursts of light as the City of Weyburn held their Canada Day fireworks show late on Monday evening. The show came after thunderstorms rolled through the Weyburn area, including one which carried a warning of possible tornadoes (none were reported officially), wrapping up a busy day of celebrating Canada's birthday.

Eight acts provided lots of entertainment for the hundreds of people in attendance.

Canada Day was celebrated at Nickle Lake Regional Park with several activities, including a bike parade around the park, an open-air market, a show-and-shine and crafts. There will be live music in the evening to close out the day.
