Weyburn urges water conservation after power outage cuts supply

WEYBURN - A power outage at the Nickle Lake water intake Wednesday morning has severely impacted the City of Weyburn’s reservoir capacity. As a result, water supply is critically low.

The city is asking that residents and businesses to immediately reduce water use. Please avoid laundry, dish washing, and any large water consumption until further notice.

SaskPower is aware and working to resolve the issue. The city will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Everyone's cooperation is vital and greatly appreciated, says the city.
