For a second year in a row, the Family Place Festival of Trees fundraiser brought in $60,000. "It was outstanding," said executive director Dawn Gutzke. "We did match last year, which was over-the-top record breaking.

Operation Christmas Child was again a success in Weyburn, collecting 1,733 boxes to be sent on to Calgary. The numbers this year were slightly lower than the 2012 total of 1,800 boxes.
